Students from the school attended the Young Teen Fiction, Staffordshire Awards at RAF Cosford on Tuesday 2nd July 2024. This award celebrates local authors of young adult fiction; our students have been reading the novels of the 6 nominees and voting for their favourite.

On the day itself, we heard from fantastic authors Alistair Chisholm and Sophie Anderson, who described their inspiration for writing, passion for books and encouraged all students to try a new genre of books.

Students loved meeting the authors and spending time in the fabulous RAF Cosford museum!

The winning book was ‘Scare Me’ by Teri Terry – a controversial choice amongst our students (not the biggest horror fans) but a fantastic read if you love spooky tales! Available in the school library, along with the other 5 nominated titles!
