Archie has been karting since the age of seven, firstly for fun on the indoor tracks, he then progressed into outdoor karting in a cadet class. He was spotted by Modus Motor Sport at Hooton Kart Track and joined the team. Archie had a second hand kart and suit and he started practising every weekend and competing every month. He had a successful year or two in the cadet class, winning a few trophies at the tender ages of seven and eight.

Archie then took a break from racing and he moved with his family to the Lichfield area. His urge to race again some came back and they found a local track at Daytona Tamworth. He practised every weekend, and some evenings, and he loved it.

In 2021, he raced in their monthly competition, winning numerous races and trophies, and ended up winning the Cadets Daytona Championship 2021, 2022 and 2023. He also entered a few competitions against adults, beating them each time.

Archie then joined Tyro Karting Team and after completing some research and gaining advice, his family purchased a kart for him.  He practised when he could and entered the Junior Tyro Karting Championships as a novice. He lost his first race….he came last! That gave him the boost he needed to be the best he could be, and after four races as a novice, many crashes and the odd accident ending up in an ambulance, he’s started 2024 as as fully fledged Junior Karter, and was the youngest in the Tyro Junior Team.

2024 has been great for him and he loves being part of the Tyro Karting Family. This year, he entered the Tyro Junior Championships and has competed all over the country, from as far south as Kent and as far north as Cumbria.

Archie has won many trophies during 2024, and after coming second in the final race of the year last weekend, he finished third in the Tyro Junior Championship 2024, a massive achievement in his first year. We are all super proud of him, it just goes to show that hard work and practice pays off - well done Archie!
