King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Physical Education to join a dynamic, high-performing department. This role is being advertised as full-time but a part-time appointment will be considered for a suitable candidate. In addition, the ability to offer a second subject would be desirable. This post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
The benefits of Physical Education and School Sport are well recognised at King Edward VI School. PE is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. All Key Stage 3 & 4 students access two hours of core PE each week, with an extensive offer for extra-curricular sport which many of our students regularly attend in addition to their lessons. The extra-curricular offer extends to include students in sixth form, with opportunity to lead teams in a range of sports from Y7-13. In Key Stage 4 and 5, students can opt to take examination subjects in PE including GCSE PE, A-Level PE and BTEC Sport. These option subjects have a good uptake and have consistently achieved strong results.
We are looking for a creative and adaptable teacher with a commitment to extra-curricular activities. There is opportunity for the appointed teacher to teach examination PE at key stage four and/or five. A specialism in any sport will be considered for this post, either contributing further to our current provision or building in additional sports to broaden the opportunities given to students at King Edward VI. Excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents are essential.
Lunchtime Supervisors

Salary: Grade 2 – £24,027 per annum – pro rata. Actual starting salary £12.45 per hour
Contract term: Permanent/Part Time/Term Time Only
We are seeking to appoint reliable, flexible Lunchtime Supervisors to work within a friendly, supportive and well established team. Duties to include supervising students during lunchtimes in the dining areas and surrounding school grounds both inside and out. Applicants should be able to relate well to children, young adults and staff, act responsibly and be able to keep calm and respond quickly to situations.
Exam Invigilators
Required by: Immediately
Salary: Grade 2 - £24,027 per annum – pro rata. £12.45 per hour

We are seeking to add to our team of Invigilators for examinations to provide additional support throughout the school year.
Duties include supervising students taking examinations, preparing exam rooms and distributing and collecting exam papers.
The ideal applicant will be well organised, resourceful and vigilant. Candidates should have a strong sense of responsibility, good attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm.
We are particularly interested in applicants who are available throughout the whole week (Monday – Friday) in May and June and have the flexibility to come in at short notice, should the need arise.
We also run resits and trial exams at various stages throughout the year during which we would ask for additional availability. These being mainly in November, December, January, and March.
Training will be given.
